Experience the Fine Art of Confectionary and Exquisite Cuisine in the Salons

The Coselpalais, built in 1765, is one of the best-known baroque buildings in Dresden. Badly damaged in the Second World War, it was restored true to the original in an elaborate reconstruction process.

Today, the Grand Café Coselpalais is one of the most popular restaurants in Dresden’s historic old town! Both visitors to and citizens of Dresden appreciate the unrivalled range of delicious gateaux and freshly baked cakes with choice coffee specialities.

The friendly staff have plenty of interesting stories about Dresden and will even share their insider tips about the Saxon capital. But no one needs to be told about Dresden’s Frauenkirche (Church of Our Lady). It is located directly opposite the large terrace in the baroque court of honour. You can also enjoy the fantastic view of the historic church from the restaurant.

Its menu centres on light Franco-German cuisine and excellent wines from Saxony. The large salons will fascinate you with their unique themes – for example, we serve our excellent pastries in the Porcelain Salon on original Meissen Porcelain®.
